Visit to Murfreesboro

We went to see Granny and as always had a good time. The weather was good so we got to play outside. Avery loved the magnolia leaves that were on the group.
Ross got to play around with the soccer ball, but took a minute to pose for a picture with Granny.
Avery seriously loved the leaves!
They were her bird wings so she flapped around to fly. She even got Ross in on the wing action.
Shockingly Avery willingly got in the picture.
Daddy made a string with the little flower weeds. I used to do that as a kid. Avery and Ross loved it.
...and then this happened. Ross wouldn't give her his stick.
Oh wait, kitty! 30 seconds later she's good.
Sweet brother found her something to have similar to his.
Hello, he couldn't give his up as he had to practice his Ninja Warrior moves!
Next we stopped by to see Pop and Granny Roo. They enjoyed the quiet. She has to do what her brother does.
Sweet kids. (Granny Roo picked Avery the tiny pink rose - Avery carried it the entire visit.)
Pop picked her a big rose.
Ross got one too!
What's this you say? Avery in multiple pictures - willingly? Shocked and amazed!
She had Pop smell her rose.

I feel as if I say this all the time but it was a really great day!

Mother's Day 2014

Mother's Day was really great this year! The kids drew on the chalkboard part for Mam's gift.
I love the finished product.
Photography by Ross - the card from him and Avery.
This is part of what Ross did at school. His answers cracked me up. I remember how proud of himself he was the day he 'realized' my name was Scarlett Errand b/c we like running errands together.
More school gifts. Avery did the painting on the left and Ross did the pot on the right. On the back of it he wrote I Love You. Our school does so great with the gifts for parents.
It has zinnias planted in it and we've had fun watching them sprout!
Up next were some pictures. The one thing I really ever ask for every year is a picture of me and the kids. You see Avery wasn't excited about the idea. She wanted to play outside!
I was truly shocked to see that we ended up with a picture where she wasn't crying.
My sweet boy! Always good for a hug and to make me feels special. In continuing with the tradition he and his Daddy went to the store and bought me a new dress. Ross picked it out all by himself.

Oh what's this? No tears? She's getting her way and playing for a second before church.
Mam and he grands! (Gavin was already eating lunch)
I got in the pic too!  It was a really great day! The weather was good so we were able to do some things outside. Any day is a good day when we you get to spend it with family.

Disney on Ice

Avery got to experience her first Disney on Ice last weekend. She loved it. I was worried it might be too much for her or that we might be sitting too close, but definitely not the case.
One of the stories was Tangled. Avery has seen the movie so she really liked that one.
Very cool when they did the lanterns at the end.
Cotton candy. Intermission.
Another story was Brave. I loved how they triplets It was really cute.
Her hair bounced around just like it does in the movie.
Avery loved when the characters got close and she could wave at them. The only one that scared her was Sebastian from the Little Mermaid. He tried to give her a high five and she wasn't having it.
I snapped this of Ross. He was in mid-wipe of cleaning his face and probably stayed like that for a solid 3-4 minutes. So sweet.
The last story was Beauty and the Beast.

Finale. Of course that is always fun when everyone comes out and to dance.
It was a lot of fun!

T-Ball with Ross

Ross has started t-ball and is really enjoying it. I don't get to make it to all his games with them being late and Avery going to bed but I made it to his first game. This is the pose I got when I asked. Note the crocs as well - cleats were forgotten at home but Dad went back to get them.
A pre-game warm up. You can easily find Ross b/c of the green crocs.
He was catcher this game.
Batter warm up.
Mommy pose.
He is a really good hitter! He scores!
His team didn't win. It was 21-10 but they said they had a great time playing!
Proud little boy.
