Park videos (2 more to come)

I got a couple of videos when Ross and I were at the park last week. The server has been fickle so I've only been able to load two. That's better than last week though b/c I wasn't able to load any! (The country accent in the background is just an added bonus.)

First Field Trip

Ross had his first field trip on Friday and they went to the zoo. He had a great time. The pics below are of him actually squealing! It looks like he's in full-on fit mode (which we rarely see) but he was so excited he would just squeal ever so often.

He and Daddy were looking at the elephants.
Ross and two of his classmates were watching the bear come in and out. He never hung out. He was just pacing back and forth from inside to outside.
One of Ross' favorite parts was the kiddie playground. He actually did give us a full-on fit when it was time to leave there.
After the playground we all rode the train. He really enjoyed that but was so sleepy! Not to mention H-O-T!
As we were leaving he got really quiet and almost went to sleep. Daddy said he was asleep by the time they got back to school, which is about 5 minutes from the zoo.
Now that the weather is finally cooling off we're going to go to the Memphis Zoo. I know Ross will love it!

A "sick" day... at the park

Well Ross got sick on Wednesday at school so they called me to come pick him up. They made him miss yesterday too. He wasn't sick... We spent the morning at the park and for most of the time had it all to ourselves!
Doesn't he look sick?!?
After swinging for about 20 minutes he decided he wanted to play. So he slid... played in the tunnel...
and did the stairs all by himself! It was the first time ever! He's getting so big!
Since we were there alone he was able to play on the big kid stuff too without getting trampled on.
He tried to climb the ladder but just couldn't quite do it. I helped him.
He's so big and independent now! It makes me happy and sad all at the same time. Last year all he could do was swing and this year he's all over the place!
We ended the morning back on the swings. He fell asleep while I was pushing him. He was starting to zone is this picture. Such a sweet little buddy!

Viewer Discretion Is Advised

Dinner time at our house is often gross, hence the warning. This is the time that Ross gets to pretty much feed himself 100%. He's actually getting a lot better. The mess below is from graham cracker Goldfish and peanut butter to dip them in. He kept trying to lick it out of the cup. He LOVES peanut butter! Even funk-tastic isn't he a cutie?!? Dinner time is right before bath time, which is right before bedtime so he gets tired midway through.
He was particularly messy this night. He even dumped out his peaches, which he usually never does. They made friendship bracelets at school that day and he decided he wanted to eat the fruit loops. They kept sticking to his face because of all the peanut butter. This is the grossest we get for eating. I haven't given in to making spaghetti noodles. I use Farfalle which is so much easier for him to eat. I can't quite go there with the long noodles. Hey though, I think everyone can agree I'm a lot better at these messes than people gave me credit for in the beginning. Bon Appétit!

Just a bit to get going

In the mornings before school Ross takes a while to get his engines going. He starts with some milk followed by veggie/ fruit juice and then finishes up his milk. Once he gets his fluids in him he's usually more awake. You'd think sleeping 12 hrs a night would make you more than ready to start the day, but not so much! This is a different day but you can see that he's more than ready to head off to school once he's gone through his morning routine. He had to take something to drink with him on this particular morning just in case he needed refreshing in the 5 min it takes to get to school!

Down on Papa's Farm

We took our annual Harvest time trip down to Papa's farm yesterday. Ross did about the same thing as last year. Ate and watched the grain cart. :<) Here is a comparison shot from last year and current. Don't you love that crazy monkey hair he was rocking yesterday?!?He was watching the grain cart.
Management. I rode with Ross for the first bit and then Daddy rode. When we weren't with Ross we were riding a tractor with Uncle Kevin.
I took these from inside Kev's tractor and obviously the windows were a bit funky. There's the "buddy".We were told this was the best cutting day yet! We think it was because Ross was there to supervise! He's quite handy on the farm!
Hopper of GOLD!
Ross' favorite part. The grain cart!

We had a great time yesterday! Everyone was super exhausted and quite dirty. Ross looked like a ragamuffin. Too bad I didn't get an after pic!

Showing some Push-Up Pop Love

I bought some Push-Ups in one of those spur of the moment shopping deals. Einstein here thought Ross would love them, and boy did he ever! They were a tad messy, to say the least, but hey he cleans up pretty easily. He was none too pleased with me when it was "gone-gone".

The first couple of bites were a little tart to him.
He stayed with it though, not willing to give up on the cold stuff that fast just b/c it is a little tart at first. Not my baby! He was born with ice cream in his blood.
He got the hang of it. The stick on the bottom really fascinated him. He was telling his Daddy "gone-gone". This was right before he spoke about his displeasure on that topic. Doesn't the orange coating on his face and neck really accentuate his two front teeth!

Push-Up Video

He loved the Push-Up!
