Egg Obstacle Course

Josh's church does an egg obstacle course every year at Easter and we were able to go this year. Avery was not a fan of the Easter Bunny. "Da Easter Bunny scarrrred me."

She had her basket though and was ready to go.

They had a separate course set up for the smaller kids. It was so cute!

She followed the path for the most part. *I didn't get pics at every obstacle. There were a lot.

All done and thirsty. It was hot that day!

Up next was the age group for Ross, Josh, Emma, and Samantha. The big kid course was no joke. First was to climb over hay bales.

Then this apparatus.

*I didn't get near all the obstacles nor many pics of our friends b/c they were way ahead. Ross took forever picking his egg out at the end of each obstacle.

Such a fun time and hopefully we'll get to go again next year!

Resurrection Rolls with Josh

Josh came over the Sunday before Easter for a play date and we also made Resurrection Rolls. We did this last year and Josh really liked it.

Josh did the butter and Ross did the cinnamon/ sugar.

A Field Trip to Pinnacle

Juniors and Seniors had their annual picnic and 'hike' to Pinnacle mountain. The day was perfect!

True to Josh form he wouldn't stand with the group.

Buds Pierce and Ross. Pierce is seriously always ready for a pose!

Anna Beth didn't want to smile and Josh wouldn't even sit on the bench. Holdyn was all for it though! I've decided she's as much of a poser as Pierce.

During the hike I saw Mrs. Lois jump about 30 ft up in the air and I couldn't figure out why. As we got closer it became obvious that she saw this snake. From a distance it looked like a stick but it was a huge snake - that was ALIVE! The kids all gathered around it to check it out. Minus Ross of course. He wasn't having anything to do with it, and I can't blame him.

After the 'hike' they kids got to go play on the playground for a while before lunch.

At one point I looked around at Holdyn had climbed to the tip top of this. The girl had no fear and the dress didn't stop her.

The boys decided to get in on the action too.

After lunch the kids found a water pump. It kept them busy for a long time.

After lunch the Seniors got to go to the visitor's center and look around some more. Here is Josh still not letting me take his picture.

We climbed up the path so the kids could look around. Dear Josh just wasn't having a bit of a group picture up there.

It was a great day! We couldn't have asked for better.

Visit with the Meme and fam

We went to see Meme over the weekend and Uncle Steve and Aunt Wendy met us.

Avery is in love about Uncle Steve (as Ross would say).

She gaves tons of kisses to him and sat in his lap for a long time.

Glad the kids get to experience good family times with everyone as they've grown up.

Meet Rover

Ross' class at school has gotten a new pet - Rover. Each Friday the line leader for that day gets to take him home for the weekend and they document what Rover does over the weekend and then share with the class on Monday.

 Avery wasn't fond of not getting to hold Rover. Not a fan.

A little better b/c she was actually able to touch him.

  Ross got his baseball uniform in and wanted to try it on. Rover wanted in the picture too.

 Sweet success. Avery got to hold Rover. Life was good for a certain 2 yr old. (at least for a minute)
