New Kicks

Among other fun things we did this weekend, Ross got new shoes. The last shoes we bought for him were supposed to take him into his fall/winter shoes his Momma had already purchased, but when you're a high-flying, death-defying, super duper ninja warrior sometimes shoes just can't keep up with you for that long.  So, Ross now has these...
In addition to looking cool, they squeak (or rather, they squeaked) and Ross is even faster than before because we all know new shoes make you faster when you're a kid.  So, if you see a blue flash and you're not sure what it was odds are it's the super duper ninja warrior, now even faster on the scene.

Momma's Little Helper

Anyone who has a house that is 95% hardwood knows how hard it is to keep the floors "crunch free" as a friend once said. At least I have a good little helper like Ross to assist. To make things all the more sweeter I don't have to ask, pay, or threaten him at this point. :o) Loving life!

Another this and that

Ross' new school was closed for Staff Development on Monday and Tuesday so he got to stay home. On Monday it was getting close to nap time so I remembered what his teachers told me they did to get him to sleep; put the sheet and his pillow down and tell him naptime. To my suprise it worked! I covered him up and he was asleep in 2 minutes without even a whimper.
I'm still making the fresh juice every morning and on Monday he wanted to help. I gave him a carrot to hold and he decided he wanted to walk all over the house with it. I finally got it from him when he put it in his cupholder.
His Daddy went to Denver last week and brought him back a Broncos monkey. He likes to walk with it around his neck.
Of course he likes to take it off and immediately wants you to put it back around his neck.
Now for the big NEWS. He started his new school on Wednesday. He was quite ready for the day! He put his backpack on early that morning and didn't want to take it off.
Such a big boy!
He has had a great time at school. He has not really made a fuss at all during morning drop-offs and the teachers give great end-of-day reports on him. Yesterday his favorite activities were listed as being: playing in the pool of balls and the bouncy house. Ya think?!?

Presents from Mrs. Cara!

I went to see my friend Cara and her family this past weekend and she sent all sorts of things home for Ross. She had one of her boys' teacher paint Ross a monkey picture and he loved it! One of his new words is banana so now he has me take him in his room all the time so he can see the monkey and bananas. I showed the picture to him when I got home and he immediately took it and walked all over the house. He didn't want me to take it!
She also gave him a guitar and apron that she got when they all went to Jamaica. He loved them both.
I put the apron on him thinking he'd probably fuss and want me to take it off him quickly. Not the case. He wore it forever.
Driving his car.
He was actually walking to throw a bag away in this picture. I'm mainly posting it because I think it is such a cute behind picture! Love those legs!

Last day at Ross' first school!

Ross had his last day at Children's First on Friday. It was a good but sad day. They have been great and Ross loves everyone there and they all seem to love him too! It was so nice to be able to drop him off every day since he was 12 wks old and not have to worry about him. We took Chick-Fil-A for his class and teachers. They ate it up! This is Savannah. She was sitting by Ross and kept wanting me to take her picture. She and Ross have been in the same class since he was about 16 wks old. I think she's about a month younger. She's a sweety and blows us kisses. We just love her. She was born with that much hair. ...I'm not playing.
Sweet Anna Claire! I love her. I think Ross can't decide who is his girlfriend. Anna Claire or Savannah.
Mr. Boston and Ross are very close to the same age. They've been in the same class since day 1.
All of the kiddos chowing down on their lunch.
Ms. Erin. She hasn't been in his class too long. She is either really quiet or quite loud. So cute!
Again, the two cutie pies!
They say at snack time Ross picks out each item that is his favorite and goes from most favorite to least favorite. Most fav being yogurt covered raisins and least fav being goldfish.
Miles. He hasn't been in his class very long either.
Ms. Anna Claire is tickle monster.
Me and Ross at lunch. I hadn't planned on getting my picture taken so this is sans make-up. (no need to comment De!)
Daddy and Ms. Cassandra, one of Ross' teachers. (I know, fuzzy!)
Ms. Marcie another of his teachers. Ross wouldn't let them hold him as long as Dad and I were there.
When we left I asked them to take some pics during the afternoon. Another of Ms. Marcie.
Another fav teacher of Ross', Ms. Linnie. She called him "Happy Baby" almost from Day 1.
I know this is a fuzzy picture but you can tell Ross is hamming it up!
Ms. T is Ross' other girlfriend (he's a player). She is in the classroom on the other side of the window. They told me he would get a cube to stand on so he could see in the window and blow her kisses. So sweet!

So Tuesday we start a new school and have to make new friends and win over the new teachers. I don't think that should be too big of a problem. A big belly laugh and a kiss from Ross should do the trick. ...if not we'll bribe them with some donuts.

Hello. Hello.

Ross started running fever Saturday and continued along that path Sunday so we missed church. He did take longer naps but it didn't keep him from 'driving' his vehicles. I think his driving was impaired by the Tylenol. Poor thing kept trying to drive facing backwards. :) He took the risk of eating and...
talking on the phone while 'driving'. (I don't know where he picked up that habit.)
He obviously had a lot to talk about and was quite frustrated about the topic.

Cousin Graham comes a callin'

We finally got to meet cousin Graham last week! His first trip to AR. He is a definite cutie! His little giggle is contagious. Ross now laughs just like him. Cracks me up! They got to meet Ross and Alex for the first time too!
Graham liked them both!
Great Grandad chilling with Graham.
We took Graham and Ross to visit Meme too! I'll have to get some pics from someone of Meme and Graham. (my little bro took these)
Ross loved the mirror that was in the exercise room.
Who's that handsome dude?!?
They shared toys so well!
Papa and Graham.
We will miss them! Christmas will hopefully get here before we know it. Did I just say that? I think I meant their next visit will hopefully get here before we know it. I'm not sure I'm ready for Christmas.
Santa is still on vacation himself!
