We love Da-Da!!!!!

Ross loves his Da-Da. If you've watched the post I did when Ross is asked "who's your buddy", "who's your pal", "who's your friend", "who do you love the most", then you'll follow the next video. Previously Ross was saying he loves Momma the most but now he answers Da-Da to everything. Coincidence? I think not. So I decided one day to toss out other questions to him and see how he answered once Da-Da finished with his round. Things such as "who's the meanest", "who has a big nose", you know such niceties as that. So in this video I was trying to capture it on camera. Once he went through the round of brawl beating questions from his Da-Da I asked him if he wanted to go see Da-Da. You can see the answer for yourself. Bottom line, it doesn't matter what he answers to the questions: actions speak louder than words. :<)

You can see in this next video that Ross really is quite fond of his Da-Da. He love to look out the window when he thinks we are outside and gets so excited! I love to see him on his tip-toes.

Meet Lester!

Lester is our ever faithful side-kick. He's been around since before Ross was born. Daddy even practiced with Lester on the changing table. He's one of those great friends that doesn't demand attention and is perfectly fine if he is in the background. In fact I bet you haven't even given Lester any attention in the past. (that's ok, he forgives you)
That Lester is such a good buddy to Ross when he's sick... ...when he needs a prop up in the stroller
...and when he needs a buddy in the bed.
I definitely think Lester will be around for a long time. He's very special to the Martin family.

Nephew #2 Arrived!

Alexander Caelan arrived yesterday at 6:33pm via c-section. Weight is 8 pds and 21 in long. Everyone was doing great. Note I said "was" b/c I haven't talked to them after their first night as a family. ha
This is his daddy, my brother, Brent. I'll have to get a mom and baby picture too. (I don't think he likes him one bit. ha) Alex is all wrapped up in his Miracle Blanket, a.k.a baby straitjacket.

Giggle! Giggle!

Yesterday I got out a toy that I had put up a couple of months ago when Ross was sick. He, of course, had forgotten all about it. He loved it. I was able to get a quick video with my camera of him laughing. (I tried to brighten it up but it didn't work too well.)

I think he likes the chair...

I went outside yesterday and when I came back in Ross had gotten in his chair. I just thought he looked cozy... After I snapped that picture I went into the kitchen for a second and when I came out he had fixed himself in this position. Yep, definitely more cozy here!

One crazy dude!

Last night we went out for pizza at Damgoode Pies, our favorite pizza place in Little Rock. Ross loved the Garden pizza. While we were waiting of course he had to have some water from my straw. Then he got kind of bored and the waitress brought him some dough. (He flirted with her all night.) She said he could play with it like play dough and was ok if he ate it. Well of course Ross wanted to immediately taste it! I think had I not stopped him he would have tried to get the entire piece in his mouth.
Once I got the big piece of dough out of his mouth I just started giving him little, tiny pieces until our pizza came.
Once home we had to have a Skinny Cow ice cream bar. YUM! Obviously Ross enjoyed it.

A red chair for Ross!

I found Ross a new chair while in Conway on Saturday. It reclines but he doesn't care for that too much. He can climb in it really well and we are working with him on how to climb out. He just wants to leap out facing forward and if he does it at home the way he does at school he'll end up with a bump on his noggin! :o)
Obviously he got real comfy in it yesterday before we left for church. He's such a big boy! It was a great Mother's Day! I'm so lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful little boy (and hubby too)!

What a week!

Ross has been home sick all week. He started running a fever on Sunday so we kept him home on Monday. (the red outfit pics are from Monday) He got a necklace of mine and crawled around with it on while he played.
Tuesday he woke up with a weird rash on his cheeks so we took him to the doctor. He has a double ear infection and the fever caused his eczema to flair up. She prescribed Amoxicillin. He didn't feel well at all on Tuesday.
Wednesday he woke up with a rash on his face and it was on his back. I thought it looked different but wasn't positive. As the day progressed it got increasingly worse so we went back to the dr and he was having an allergic reaction to the medicine. He's covered head to toe in a rash. Poor baby can't catch a break!

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

Ross loves to sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider. He does the spider and the rain falling really well! I thought we were going to sing it twice and he remembered the buckle on his seat. He loves to work the buckle!
