Cousin Alex

We went to Dad's on Saturday for Steve and Granddad's birthday dinner. Of course cousin Alex was there! When we were leaving they were very sweet about saying good-bye. Big Hugs!!
Even Alex wanted to give Ross a kiss on the cheek.
Two sweet boys! Hopefully they'll grow up to be good buddies.

Our weekend

Ross has been sick lately but he woke up on Saturday barely coughing and feeling good so we spent most of the day outside. First he went to the Little Gym for his class and then we went to the park. He was so excited!! His favorite thing is still swinging! He was not very happy when we had to leave but it was lunch time and he needed a nap. After nap he got up and wanted back in the stroller to go to the park. I told him we had a few things to do but he still wanted in the stroller and so I put him in the stroller, strapped him in, and left him with his snack while I took a shower. It was actually the best shower I'd had since his Daddy had left for FL! ha On Sunday he woke up at 4:00 and had the terrible cough again, runny nose, etc... so we ended up missing church and staying around the house. He did pack his back pack for the park b/c I had emptied it from the day before and when I unloaded it this is what I found.
  • Hat and Mittens
  • Valentines
  • Clothes pin
  • Red cup
  • My deodorant
    • He packed it all my himself. It amused me when I saw his treasures. Especially the deodorant, cup, and clothes pin. He always wants to put my deodorant on when he sees me do it.

A little late but... Happy Valentine's Day!

      Barney's Birthday Bash!

We took Ross to see Barney Live!!!! on Sunday at Memphis' Cannon Center. It was surprisingly good - I mean given that it is Barney.

Let me just say that I was very pleased with our seat purchases b/c on the layout page they were great. Center stage, first row of their Parteree section so Ross was free to walk but we get there and this is my view! Yep, a video camera. Really? Really? That being said the other 3 seats had no issue so overall I was still happy.
We had time for a few pictures before the show started! Say Cheese!
Ross and Mam. The tickets were a birthday present to Ross from her.
Ross was hilarious when Barney came out. He'd climbed in his seat before the show started and when he saw Barney Ross didn't move a muscle. He just sat there and would move his eyes from left to right. I can only imagine what he was thinking.
He finally moved into my lap but still didn't really know what to do. Notice my tilted head. Yes that camera was like sitting behind some old lady in church with big hair. You know we've all been there! We love our old ladies but they sure do rock some big hair!
Oh he finally got up and I was getting him to dance. We were singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider.
The excitement had kicked in. Cheese! - Daddy!
Just to prove Barney and friends were there here are a few pics for those die hard fans wanting to see him!
I do wonder what the goals in life for these young people were/ are. I can't imagine that most people dream of performing with Barney. However, they were really good and let me just say they were some jumping machines. I noticed they had on Nike Shox.
Ross had a little Daddy time during the "I love you" song. That is their song. Most of the time Ross will only hug and kiss him. He likes to make me jealous.
While I was waiting in line to purchase a t-shirt we tried to get a picture of him with the Barney logo. He was, however, much too excited about his over priced balloon to pose.
After Barney we took a carriage ride around downtown.
He really liked petting the horse.
I wanted to get a picture of him in his Barney shirt but he kept wanting the camera. He was actually in a good mood but just mad at me b/c I wouldn't give it to him. This is what happens when Ross gets mad. He doesn't get put in the corner for being mad but sometimes when he is mad he will hit me, which he did yesterday. Doesn't he look pathetic?!? He does go there really well though. I can't complain. It just takes a second and his attitude is adjusted and we're back to a happy Ross.
I still never did get a good picture of him in his t-shirt...

      Snowpocalypse 2011

Breaking news! We got some serious snow last week in Arkansas! I just wanted to make that announcement for those unaware.
Serious snow = Serious fun = Serious snow cream!
Ross man had a hard time walking b/c the snow was so deep. If you look close you can see Kitty Kitty on the porch. That crazy thing came out of no where wanting a treat. It also got a bonus of coming in the house for a little while, which Ross was ecstatic over!
I just liked this last picture. Poor thing. Just stuck in the snow. No one around to "hewlp" him.

      Snow Video #2

Another video from our time outside. He didn't want to go in but his face was so cold!

      A snow video

A video from our playtime outside. I have another but for some reason it isn't going through. Ross loved it! He could hardly walk. Also the neighboorhood "skinny" cat showed up. Crazy thing! We let it in for a few minutes and Ross was not too happy when we wanted to let it back outside. We had to do it when he wasn't looking.

      Rossi Darwin

Must to my disliking they call Ross "Rossi" at school. Now when he sees a picture of himself or if you ask him his name he says it is Rossi. Nice! I also got him to sing his Darwin song.

      Crafts at home

With all this winter weather we've had I found us some craft projects to do at home. First we made a cow sack puppet. Ross did quite well at making it. He was a pro at putting stickers on the sack. Next he had to test the stickers on himself.
Once satisfied he started putting them back on the sack. There are always detours in life and in crafts. The best detours include stickers!
Next was his favorite part. The glue stick! He wanted to glue everything!
and wallah! finished cow sack puppet!
Next up he made a star. Oh but first he had to test out the eyes for the star. It cracked me up when he picked up the eyes and did this.
We put Daddy to work on this project. You ball up pieces of tissue paper and glue them to the star. Again the glue stick so Ross was quite happy! I'm not sure about you but when one is in concentration mode at our house the tongue must stick out! You might want to try it. Ross swears by it.
Such a cute star! ...and by star I do mean Ross! (I have no shame.)
Like I said he had fun with the glue stick. He got it all over his tray so he wanted to help me clean it up. I love my boy b/c he really did WANT to! Again, the tongue must stick out.
After dinner, which was sloppy joes - hence the bib from baby days - we played with our craft projects. Our cow likes to fly!
