Easter Devotion

Our Children's Minister had all of the families with children an Easter basket made up with devotions and projects beginning with Palm Sunday and going through Easter. Every night we would read some scripture and then make something that went along with the scripture. Ross looked forward to this every night.
Tuesday he made a scroll and wrote words from Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." I picked different words from the verse for Ross to write. He also added a few himself. Jesus. Love. Cross.
Once he finished the project for the night he'd glue it to the calendar. Nothing is complete without a silly face.
Our finished calendar.
  • Sunday was Palm Sunday. I really wanted Ross to do the projects how he wanted to instead of trying to cut out a big palm leaf he cut out individual leaves.
  • Monday is a table. Daddy drew the table and Ross cut it. This represents when Jesus went into the temple and saw the people selling things - he flipped a table.
  • Tuesday is the scroll.
  • Wednesday is a cotton ball with perfume on it. It represents the lady that washed Jesus' feet with her expensive perfume.
  • Thursday is a wet wipe. It represents Jesus washing the disciples feet.
  • Friday is the cross on which he gave his life.
  • Saturday is the tomb with the stone in front of it. Also there is a piece of cloth for wrapping Jesus' body.
  • Sunday the Angel announces he's risen! He has risen indeed!
