Thanksgiving

Both kids had their Thanksgiving parties on the same day. Ross' was first and they did a cute program.
Then they had lunch - a feast of nuggets, fruit, and a roll.
I absolutely love this pic and my crazy boy.
Up next was stone soup. We ate with the Juniors this year. Stone Soup tradition is great!!
Elle and Stecks
Fast forward to Thanksgiving Day. We went to Mom's and for dessert the kids made turkey sugar cookies. They had quite a good time.
My poor boy. He loves to make the cookie, but just can't eat them easily b/c he's worked so hard and "they look too cute". I'm happy to report he did talk himself into it by dinner, though tears were shed after it was eaten.
Avery's cookie.
Alex's cookie.
Ross' cookie.
Alex had no issue eating his. Nor did Avery. YUM

Stecks Birthday Party

Stecks had his birthday party at an equestrian place recently. I 'd actually been considering it for Avery's, but I think it may be too cold so this way she got to experience the fun without freezing.
Waiting patiently with friends for her turn to ride the horses.
The patiently lasted about 20 minutes and then we had to change gears and sit on the fence for a better view.
Finally her turn and oh my goodness she was excited! She would pet his mane or his butt randomly on her trips around and grin ear to ear.
After the exhausting ride we needed a snack as we watched the remaining friends on their rides.
After snacks a lot of them went to the stables and played in the dirt.
I think she'd make a good stable helper.
This was the sweetest dog. I wish I could remember his name. The kids loved him. Per the norm Aves did too b/c it was a big dog.
Birthday boy, Stecks, found his way over as well.
It was a fun party with friends, and the weather couldn't be beat!

SPP Annual Picnic

We went to the annual picnic again this year, and it is one of the things we actually look forward to every year. Avery and Ross rode this so many times I quit counting. It made me sick just looking at it, but they loved it.

A short video of them on the ride.
Avery stayed on this bouncy forever. Despite the cool day she still managed a red face.

Ross had a great time with this bouncy one too. It was mainly boys.

This crazy girl is so afraid of small dogs, but not a larger dog at all. This was a gorgeous great dane puppy.

The jumping hook-up. Hilarious with both of them.

The video really doesn't do it justice.
Ross specifically wanted his picture with the bouncy monster truck. This was the last thing he did and he managed to talk us into letting him bounce and slide out quite a few times.

Fall Fest for 1st Grade

I helped with the 1st grade Fall Fest this year. They dressed up like a character from a book for the day! Ross was Little Critter. Parker was Fly Guy. I loved it.
I worked the bobbing for apples station. Griffin went first to show everyone how it was done.
It was pretty tough for those missing both front teeth. Ross managed to get it from the side. :)
A few others that totally committed to getting their apple and went head totally in the water. It was so funny!
Good buds!!
Me and my boy. Glad to spend the precious time with him.

Merida's Hair

We had so much fun with Merida this year. The wig has gotten mucho play time. So much so that we just needed a few more pictures.

The slipper was also a phone!
Poor Merida was sad b/c Ross wouldn't be her prince.
When I put the wig on I realized just how big it really was. She loved it!
I love this video! She only wanted to wear her princess slippers when in costume, but I was able to manage other shoes for Trick-or-Treating.
