Park Fun with the Schnackenbergs

One Sunday afternoon we met our friends at the park to play and feed the ducks.
The boys went through their share of the bread in no time.
Emma, on the other hand, rationed hers more so of course the boys wanted her to share.
Aves was mainly concerned about walking, a lot, everywhere, without holding hands.
This picture says a lot. She's getting big. She's extremely independent. She'll set her mind to it and conquer. I didn't get any playing pics of the kids b/c I was so busy chasing around Miss Independent.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy's birthday was Oct. 1. Ross once again had a grand idea to go to Chuck E Cheese but after discussing he decided maybe Chick Fil A was better - they have a playground.
Aves loves their chocolate milk.
Boss gave it a thumbs up.
When we had our house warming for the Sheridan house I made some cookies - so that's over 7 yrs ago. They were declared a favorite and yet I never made them again, until this birthday! I think Daddy was pleasantly surprised.
Mam brought balloons, which as we know are a favorite around our house with Ms. Avery.
Ross drew this for his Daddy's birthday. They are hugging each other. We loved it!

Nothing fancy but just our speed. A fun birthday meal with family.

Zoo Field Trip

(I'm so behind on my blog posts - trying to catch up) I absolutely can't believe this was the last field trip to the zoo Ross will go on with his friends. The 3 red heads have been together from the start.
Josh has a slight crush on Aves and says he is going to marry her. I wish I knew what he was telling her at that moment.
Senior picture - minus Ross who was on a potty break but I was never able to get all 4 together again.
The seniors are so good to Avery. She definitely thinks she's a big kid. Ever protective Josh standing there with his hand on her back.
Ms. Ashley gave them glasses.
The zoo had done a lot of work since our last visit. It looked so great! One of the favorites was the tiger exhibit.
Playground is always a big hit.
It turned out to be so hot that day. Anna Beth and Ross were spent.
The train was broke down so they kids got to ride the carousel instead. Avery wasn't too sure about it at first. She is not the fan of rides to say the least.
So big! Last year she went and I posted a pic of her first tooth. Now she's running!
Juniors and Seniors get to go on a picnic after the zoo. Definitely AB's favorite activity was to swing.
She lost her sunglasses so we improvised with a pair of Avery's.
Monkey bar time.
The last pic of the day and it was fitting - farewell Grace zoo field trip. :(

Happy Birthday Mam

Mam was out of town on her birthday so Ross decided we needed to have an after work party at Chuck E Cheese. Isn't he so thoughtful?
Doesn't the birthday boy - er - I mean grandson look happy to be celebrating Mam's birthday?
Aves wasn't much for any of the games or rides, except for "Dog Pounder". She actually really liked it and could do it with minimal help.
Her favorite thing was to talk around and pull tickets out of the random machines that no one was playing on.
Oldie but goody is the roller coaster simulation ride. Ross loved this the last time we went. Aves actually didn't mind it terribly.
Not to spoil the surprise but we've since celebrated Daddy's birthday and Ross may or may not have picked a restaurant with a playground b/c he knew his Daddy would just love it.

Family Time

Well I titled this Family Time thinking I'd have more pictures of family for the blog but I suppose I had too good of a time and didn't take many pictures. We had a cook-out not too long ago and everyone came over. Weather was great and it was much fun!
Big Al loved Avery's new cozy coup.
This is mainly what happened with Gavin. He's so sweet!
After dinner I really went all out with dessert and offered up Drumsticks. :) I'm not sure why Avery didn't get one but don't worry...
she got one the very next night! The girl loves some ice cream cone!

Harvestfest

We went with friends to Harvest fest and had a great time! It was literally the last day Cajun Sno was open so we started there.
First thing Avery does when we would get to Cajun is grab one or more of their flags in the flower pots. Bye bye flags!
Up next was painting pumpkins.
Poor Aves had to ride in the stroller a lot b/c she wasn't quite ready to do any painting. Next year for sure.
Then they were able to make pumpkin fans. Much needed b/c in the sun it was quite warm.
So many great things for the kids. Boxing! They definitely weren't prepared for how hard it was with big gloves.
Josh had a turn.
The kids got their faces painted. Josh and Emily got mustaches. The lady jokingly told Josh to not move a muscle while she painted and he literally sat there like this the whole time. I couldn't get a smile out of him at all. Boy takes his face painting seriously.
All done. Nice red mustache.
Boss got a Batman. It was WWIII at our house when it came time to wash it off. Poor Daddy battled that out.
Aunt Lou Ann and Uncle Bryan were there with their Corvette club. The boys got to sit and 'drive' one. As Mrs. Laura said, this gives a scary glimpse into our future.  Too bad Ross' first car will be a 4-cylinder that goes a max of 60 mph. :)
She's free!
Poor girl covered herself in big babies and passed out within a minute of getting in the vehicle.
Looking forward to cooler weather to do more fun things outside!
