Avery 6 month (late)

I'm late with this post but Avery did great at her 6 month check-up. She's growing like a weed. Even her hair has had a growth spurt. She's such a good baby! I just thought Ross was a good baby. :)

This is one of the closest pictures I have of her at 6 months and I like the picture of her crazy self! Always a ham.

Ross man

Ross often plays  with play-doh after school while I'm feeding Avery. He loves to use the roller and scissors.

We've got some stamps with the alphabet that he uses to spell his name. He can spell his first name and last name.

He always looks for the second S and I try to tell him he can use the same S for the other one but he just doesn't think that is right so we end up with ROS.

He's quite the helper in the kitchen too. He's a champ at making lemonade and Rice Krispie Treats!

Ross is such a funny little boy (I'm sure all parents say that about their kid). He's also a genius! :) One of the things that absolutely cracks me up that he says is "afterfore". "You're going to pick me up afterfore school." Makes sense to me. You have before and afterfore. Duh people!

Grandad

Well our Granddad has been pretty sick but when we went to visit 2 weeks ago he was all better. :) Avery has a good time with him!

Avery's first day pics!

I took pictures of Avery of her first day too. I know technically it isn't her first day but it is the first day of the new school year so I want to document first and last day in her class too. We liked that she was 'holding' the sign.

She's been sick and it is so nice to see her feeling like her old self again!

Of course big brother had to get in the shot too!

Daddy picked up a chalkboard so Ross wanted to hold it too. It's pretty big to hold so by the end of the school year we'll have a smaller one. I think Ross will be happy b/c now he can practice letters on this one.

1st day as a Junior!

Big day at our house! Ross is a Junior. I saw a cute idea to take a picture of them on the first  and last day to document the differences. Another idea was to also ask them what they want to be when they grow up at the first and last day and document that too over the years. I want to do that as well.

He wanted to jump!

He also wanted to take a picture of Mommy and Daddy holding the sign! He was much closer to me since he was holding the camera by himself and I wanted to be able to grab it.

"I'm a Junior" - says Ross!

Friday was graduation day at Grace! Like always I never get great pictures on these days but graduation is a big day so it is a 'must post'! The kids in the next two pictures are the current Juniors and Seniors. A lot of them wont be at school anymore b/c they are either going to Pre-K or Kindergarten.

Ross' class has now graduated to the Junior class! Let me just say they are all beyond excited! The little girl looking at the camera is our friend McKenna. She and Ross play together on the weekends from time to time and are big buds!

After the closing program we went for snacks and to check out the Junior classroom. The little boy by Ross is Barron - another of Ross' buds.

We tried to get a picture with Ross, Anna Beth, and McKenna but it obviously didn't work out. Ross did smile though. This it the group that went together for Breakfast with Santa at ACH last year.

They have changed so much! 

 

Ms Avery

I'm taking a photography class and each week we have to turn in homework. UGH! Last week I took pictures of Avery. She loved the tutu!

Farmer Ross

Ross has been farming a lot lately. He likes to multi-task the tractors. Mainly disking while hauling hay. Getting a bang for his farming buck. :)

Now that our living room area has carpet he can disk away and see his work, which makes him quite happy. It also reminds me of my little brother and the hours and hours he spent disking up the carpet when he was Ross' age.

You can't be a farmer without working on your equipment. He's going to have it mastered in no time.

The other day I asked him if he knew that he was going to be the same thing as Uncle Kevin - meaning a Junior -but he said "oh yes a farmer!". I can't even imagine what farming will be like in 20 yrs.
