Happy Easter!

We had a fantastic Easter this year! We actually made it to church on Easter for the first time since Ross was born, so that was a definitely plus. He's been sick each time Easter would roll around but not this year!

When he woke up he got to get his Easter basket. One thing we got him was Veggie Tales - Twas the Night before Easter. He loves it! He has watched it every day since Sunday, and watched multiple times while we were in the car on Sunday. Of course he had some prizes in his eggs. One jellybean per egg. ha He's gotten some other stuff but I had to ration it b/c he wants to eat everything that is in each egg in his basket hence one per egg. I've refilled the eggs quite a few times. In fact he asked for a prize this morning in an egg and I put his vitamin in it. :)This was his Easter basket from his Papa and Granny. I thought it was quite an ingenious idea. He's showing Uncle Brent his mouth b/c he was wanting more and we were trying to get him to understand his mouth was too full! After all the sugar consumption we went outside to play. He's attacking Uncle Brent.Gotta love pockets! Now he's going to get his Daddy! Ross has switched from saying Momma and Da-Da to calling us Mommy and Daddy. The way he says it is so sweet. "Dadeeee"Great Granddad, Papa, and RossAlex took a ride in the John Deere. So of course when we got home and every day since Ross has taken rides in the John Deere too! This is Ross' bedhead and him drinking his Jack LaLanne juice. When he has his juice there is no getting that cup away from him!

Sunday School Easter Egg hunt

Saturday we went to a cookout and Easter egg hunt with our Sunday School class. The rain held off and the day was quite nice! They had some sidewalk chalk out so Ross drew a little bit. He was mostly concerned with picking up the chalk and putting it in the container though. :) After a little play time it was time to hunt eggs!! He was patiently waiting for Mrs. Cherie to say it was time. The 3 and under kids hunted eggs here....and they're off!Ross ran right past a bunch of eggs heading for a pink egg he spotted. He's showing me his goods."Prizes", as he calls them, were in the eggs. I had to sneak some prizes in my pockets when he wasn't looking so he wouldn't eat them all at once. The day was pretty much a sugarfest. He spotted a "cake" on someone else's plate and was done with the food-food. I did scrape majority of the icing off.The aftermath. Cake was even down his shirt. I love this picture. As we were leaving Ross got to pick a prize and much to his delight there was a firetruck right on top.We weren't too far out and the poor dude fell asleep. He had such a big day!

First Baseball Game

We took Ross to his first Travs' baseball game on Sunday afternoon. The weather was absolutely fantastic! Shortly after arriving we saw the mascot. Ross said it was a puppy. Another kid told me it was a horse. Da-Da said it was a mule or something like that. I honestly don't know. I choose to go with Ross and we call it a puppy. Ross was quite excited that I just let him explore whatever he wanted to, though I wasn't far behind.
He was pointing out the visiting team's baseball players.
After a while of exploring he got a frozen lemonade and decided to watch some of the game with Da-Da.
I got 2 extra spoons in case he dropped one so I decided to use one to try his tasty treat. Each time I went to take a bite he took the bite off my spoon and ended up taking my spoon as well! He ended up with all 3 spoons in the cup and didn't really want me to use any of them - I did though and it was quite tasty. :)
Da-Da tried to get a picture of me and Ross together but he said our eyes were always closed. Oh well. Here is a pic to prove I was there and having a good time ta boot!
After about 15 minutes of watching the game Ross and I went to do some playing at the Kid Zone. Dare I say the best part of the baseball game?
He was excited over all the bouncy stuff. He tried so hard to climb up those stairs.
He finally turned around and said "help mommy". The nice attendant let me go in and help him climb up. He slid down with 2 sweet boys. After that he wanted me to slide with him so much to his delight I did a few times and we had a lot of fun. On occasion it pays to be short.
Eventually Da-Da made his way over to us and had visited the souvenir shop and bought a shirt and a Cubs ball. We did sit at this location very long b/c once Ross let the ball go down to the visiting team and they graciously threw it back. One of their team member's last names was Hamburger. Seriously!
He loves to play catch. Some boys were on the grass playing and he threw the ball to them. They were impressed with his skills. :)

Another end to a great weekend! A couple of videos below of him watching the game. It was really funny how he got into it!

Birthday party for Reece

We went to a birthday party on Saturday and had a great time! I only had my phone to take pictures with so I realized after the fact that I didn't even get any of the birthday boy. It really just looks like we went to the park - which means Ross had a great time - but it was actually at our friends' house. Reece got a trampoline for his birthday and Ross loved it!! Once all the bigger kids started going home the smaller kids were able to really do some jumping. I was able to get a couple of videos.

Great day! Beautiful weather! Great friends to hang out with!

What a great weekend!

We had a great (hot) weekend! We went to Mam and Pop's after work on Friday and after dinner Alex and Ross got to ride in the wagon. Pop went to get the tractor but Ross did not want to ride. He just kept saying "no no". Alex wanted to ride though! He held the gear shift the entire time. They went at a snail's pace. It was quite amusing to me.
After the tractor ride Alex got in the wagon again for a photo op with his cuz.
On Saturday after the Little Gym we went to The Wonder Place. Mam had never been so she got to see all the cool stuff. Ross had her climb up the tree house and play. It was so nice because we went before lunch and it wasn't crowded at all! Definitely my favorite time of day to go now.
I climbed under the tree house to play with my buddy.
While we were at The Wonder Place I bought some finger paints, water colors, and paper. We painted on Sunday. Ross had quite a time! I had to put a bib on him b/c he kept wiping his painted fingers on his shirt. Glad I haven't packed the bibs up yet b/c we still use them from time to time!
The obligatory "cheese".
The finished product in my office on Monday. It sure helps the dreary cream colored walls not seem quite so ho-hum.
