Hello. Hello.

Ross started running fever Saturday and continued along that path Sunday so we missed church. He did take longer naps but it didn't keep him from 'driving' his vehicles. I think his driving was impaired by the Tylenol. Poor thing kept trying to drive facing backwards. :) He took the risk of eating and...
talking on the phone while 'driving'. (I don't know where he picked up that habit.)
He obviously had a lot to talk about and was quite frustrated about the topic.

Cousin Graham comes a callin'

We finally got to meet cousin Graham last week! His first trip to AR. He is a definite cutie! His little giggle is contagious. Ross now laughs just like him. Cracks me up! They got to meet Ross and Alex for the first time too!
Graham liked them both!
Great Grandad chilling with Graham.
We took Graham and Ross to visit Meme too! I'll have to get some pics from someone of Meme and Graham. (my little bro took these)
Ross loved the mirror that was in the exercise room.
Who's that handsome dude?!?
They shared toys so well!
Papa and Graham.
We will miss them! Christmas will hopefully get here before we know it. Did I just say that? I think I meant their next visit will hopefully get here before we know it. I'm not sure I'm ready for Christmas.
Santa is still on vacation himself!

Fluffy Kitty

For those intersted here is Fluffy Kitty on the front porch. As you can see Ross never gets excited over seeing her.

Bye! Bye! (kitty)

We have a kitty that hangs out at our house. We've named her Fluffy Kitty. Ross now says "bye bye kitty" when someone is leaving, when he's happy, when he's sad... I think you get the picture. This morning he looked out the window as I was leaving to tell me bye bye kitty. Can you see him? What about now?
Is this better?
I think he we was telling me to "listen! listen!".
What a great way to start my day off to work! Perhaps I'll be sweeter to my co-workers. Nah! Let's not get crazy here...

Kozy Shack

I have found the ultimate food in teaching Ross how to eat with his spoon. Kozy Shack rice pudding! It will not come off the spoon and Ross loves it! Now I'm not sure if it is such a good thing that it sits on his spoon like Elmer's glue but hey, he likes it and since when did eating a little glue become a bad thing. :0) just kidding
Gone. Gone.
The next morning we worked on our fork skills with some pancake. He wanted a spoon too though. A pancake and spoon don't exactly go hand and hand but it made him happy.

Like Mother, Like Son

Ross and I were in the kitchen the other day and he pulled out the drawer that I normally let him play with. I walked out to do something for a minute and came back and he had put all the containers out and had a lid on each one. They didn't all quite match up but he put forth a great effort. He likes order just like his Momma!
Once he finished he decided to sit in the drawer while he was picking up. He quickly realized there wasn't enough room for him and the containers.

Fat Baby

My friend De calls Ross "FB", which is short for Fat Baby. (though he isn't fat, just big!) Another friend took this photo while in New York City and sent it to him. I love it.

Some stats on Ross: He's now 1 1/2 yrs old! I can't believe it.
weight: 32 pds
height: almost 3 ft tall! He's going to be ginormous!
  • He loves to play ball.
  • He knows so many words now. One being "listen listen". His daddy taught him to tell me that while shaking his index finger at me. Lovely. :<)
  • He's definitely an outside boy and constantly on the go.
  • He loves to dance!
  • His favorite foods are: watermelon, cantaloupe, pickles, chocolate covered raisins, and pizza! He'll eat veggie pizza but that's about the only time I can get him to eat veggies. He gets his daily servings in the fresh juice I make him.

TV time crackdown!

I have had to crackdown on Ross' TV time. Of course I can't guarantee what goes on when I'm not home but I hope Dad is going along with this. (hint hint) I like not having the TV on if Ross is home, awake, and playing. Ross disagrees. I think Dad disagrees too. ha Now that you have the back story we'll skip ahead. While I was putting away laundry on Saturday Ross went in our bedroom with me. He saw the remote on the floor and you'd have thought he was being given a lifetime supply of chocolate covered raisins. (I keep the living room remotes put away since the crackdown) He squealed and went straight for it. Then he walked immediately to the living room and tried to turn the TV on. Poor mistreated little dude!

Vrrrooom! Vrrrooom!

Like all kids toys are forgotten and then remembered. Ross has decided that he loves his red car again and the John Deere has been replaced. So we hear a remix of the sounds on this one now. He still can't quite figure out how to carry his buddies around on it with him. He took a tumble into the wall the other day while trying to drive and carry his load. Got to have those buddies!

Playtime and Haircut

I was in the kitchen making Ross his juice and he wanted to play. I gave him the usual drawer with the plastic storage bowls and instead of playing with them he dumped everything out and climbed in the drawer. He likes the wisks.
He was in bad need of a haircut so we finally got around to taking him. There is a place in West Little Rock called Pigtails and Crewcuts. Ross really liked playing.
