Baby Furniture Arrives, Ross Starts Daycare

After months of waiting, the baby furniture has arrived! There's something to be said for anticipation, but it's been a long, long wait for Ross's bed and chest of drawers. They're all really nice and exactly what Scarlett wanted so the wait has been worth it. His room definitely looks much different with more stuff in it, and once we have the pictures on the wall I'll post some pictures.

Other firsts for Ross this week include his first (half) day in daycare. Ross was dropped off for his first day Monday morning and that's a little more difficult than you realize until you have a child. We're realists - we realize that two incomes are almost always a need these days, however leaving your child with people you've only met a couple of times is difficult to say the least. Ross was fine with the exception that he suffered a little sensory overload the first day and didn't take a nap. Today (Tuesday) he did much better and took a nap at the school. His teacher, Ms. Stacy, said he did much better today with the adjustment and we're hoping it gets better for both him and us.

Ross also got his first Cubs hat this week, and I'll have to post that picture. He actually got his first two Cubs hats this week, but the cap is the funnier of the two. He doesn't seem to mind hats much at all, much like his old Dad, so that's good news.

He's really growing now. My great aunt and uncle, Rema Jo and Travis Gregory, sent us a picture from our first visit in Murfreesboro and it's already a little unbelievable that he was ever that skinny. He likes to eat quite a bit now that we have the acid reflux addressed and he's filled out quite nicely. His Momma calls him an Oinker, but I just think he's what we call in the South "Big Boned". I'll post some newer pictures and you can tell for yourself.
