Thanksgiving at School for Avery

Avery is big into the programs and special stuff she has at school. Her name for Thanksgiving was "Sunflower".
She decorated this fancy turkey.
Then they had a party their last day before Thanksgiving break.
She made a turkey sack all by herself, including cutting out the pieces.
The class Thankful Turkey.

Walk to End Alzheimer's

Our whole family was able to participate in the Alzheimer's walk this year. Such a somber, and important walk.
Each flower color represented various stages of the loved one's journey through the disease. We had purple - in memory of loved ones passed away.
They had animals there for the kids to pet.

It is a one-mile walk so very family friendly. Princess Anna was there or Willie Nelson as I see it.
At the end, we also saw Gold-Medal winning Jeff Henderson.
I'm glad we were all able to participate this year. I think it is good for the kids to remember.

Muffins with Mom

The annual Muffins with Mom event was as crazy as ever. Truly insane, but it's what we do.
I do it for these 2 crazies.
At least he knows I would give him "have".

Branson Family Trip

I'm out of order, but such is my life right now. We went to Branson this year, and as always had an excellent time!!

We started the day at The Landing. Avery was mega excited to be in vacation mode because that always means she gets to ride those little rides that are all around that area. *Thanks Poppy*
Then we ate at Joe's. The lovebirds were there. The lovebirds ordered a crab pot. It was painful to watch then try and crack the crab. Bless the lovebirds.
After lunch we talked around and Ross found this roll of toilet paper with Hilary Clinton. Is this blog worthy? Absolutely b/c he has given Mr. Michael grief for months over his choice in presidential candidate.
Then we got stuck in traffic. For a long, long time.
The next day we went to Silver Dollar City!! The weather was perfect! Unfortunately it was crowded, but that is first world problems and we survived.
 Annual train pic.
Dad was a trooper and rode several rides with Avery.
McKenna rode her first big(ish) roller coaster. She was not overly excited about it at the start.
In the end though she gave it double thumbs up. This is HUGE!
On Saturday we just had a great, fun day. Uncle Steve made it Friday night so he finally got to join in on the fun. Ross was also big enough to ride the next size go-carts. Dude was mega excited! He was good too!
Round 2 and Ben drove with them as well.
Meanwhile, at the track right beside there this beast of a driver was dominating! The guy was so surprised it was her first time. She was, shockingly, a great driver!
After all that fun, we rode the big ferris wheel. It was so-so. Good views though.
Last day, as we drove out of town most people rode the Runaway Mountain Coaster. You control everything on your coaster. They LOVED it.
...and I was sidelined yet again b/c of my surgery so Avery and I took a pic.
Unbeknownst to Poppy, she also did a Snapchat pic of him. Oh so funny!
We look forward to this trip all year! So fun to spend time together and be stress free.

Halloween

Halloween was so fun this year! Ross has wanted to go as a "zombie chainsaw killer" for 2 years now. He finally got to do it and I loved it! He helped make his costume, which we basically just cut up, wet, and planted in the dirt for a few days.
He was quite happy with the make-up job I did too.
This goose said she was going to be Master Yoda. Then she added Elena when she saw this costume and said she was going as Master Elena. I loved it too! So fun that she is her own person.

She wore her costume for book character day too, carrying her princess book. Added detail of sunglasses for a pop of fun!
We did 2 things for Halloween, along with neighborhood trick-or-treating. We went to Mam's Fall Festival. Yay - horse rides were there!
It was hot so Boss wasn't in character.
We also went to our church's trunk-or-treat.
Pretty fun when your bestie is dressed as the same princess.
Bella was the donut girl! So fun!
These times will go by much too fast, so we are soaking it in and enjoying every second.
