Happy Birthday Daddy! - just a wee bit late

I downloaded pics for Halloween and eek! I saw these birthday pics on here. I can't believe I'm late so late with this post.

This year I ended up having each kid on a random afternoon during the week and I was able to sneak them to Painted Pig to paint something for birthday gifts.

Ross did a jack-o-lantern, and we stuffed it with fresh toffee.
He also made a pirate shot glass, that we decided would make an excellent pen/pencil holder for Daddy's desk.
Blurry pic, but Avery painted him a leaf in her favorite color - purple.
Daddy enjoying his birthday song.
We picked up some cakeballs from Cupcakes on Kavanaugh for birthday breakfast.
Yum-o!

We believe Daddy had a pretty good birthday this year! I definitely feel confident that the kids enjoyed Dad's big day!

Day 4 and Headed Home

We did our annual shopping before heading home. Granny buys them new Crocs - note Avery's glittery pair. Then the kids always get to pick out on treat. Avery picked out these little figurines. Rule is if I buy it they carry their goods. Never any complaints.
Ross picked out Quixels.
Rounded out the morning with our annual horsey ride.
Throwback to last year.
Ross is always a stoic rider.
Such a fun trip and a week doesn't go by that Avery or Ross doesn't mention looking forward to next year.

Day 3 - Go Carts, Bungee Chairs, and Golfing

We started the day off just hanging around the house and playing. We also all took a much needed nap before we hit the strip for afternoon fun.
After naps we decided we would start with Go-Carts. Everyone was tall enough to ride the fast carts as passengers. The kids picked who the rode with and McKenna picked Uncle Kevin.
Aves picked Ms. Danielle.
Ross picked me.
Steve went solo, and still lost. WINK WINK
Ms. Danielle took this picture and said Avery absolutely loved it. This track has a big drop so I was worried when we hit it the first time, but word is she enjoyed every second.
Ross and McKenna were big enough to drive on the middle size track. It was the best! McKenna won hands down, and much like at Silver Dollar City it was a packed house with all carts out on the track.

Next while they rode bumper cars I played in the arcade with Avery.
After the bumper cars everyone played in the arcade. Steve may have hit this whack-a-frog so hard at one point a frog totally jumped all the way out.
With our tickets the kids each got disguises.
Next is the best thing to happen in all our years of going. Steve and Kevin did a bungee chair thing. HILARIOUS!
Seriously the best videos ever.
Ground view. You can hear their screams through the speakers.
After that we played mini-golf. Steve took pics of that, and I haven't received yet. I did get a funny video of Avery's "hole in one".

Videos from Silver Dollar City

Day 2 - Silver Dollar City

We went to Silver Dollar City on Day 2, and despite the insane lines we had a good time. Note to self: don't go when Oklahoma is on Fall Break.
He actually requested I take this picture.
Pretty sure this was the last year they could share a stroller.
Throwback to last year - it wasn't quite as full.

From the first year the Sparks joined us. They were 4!
Avery and Gavin were both old enough to ride a lot of rides this year. YAY!
She even got to ride a few by herself.
They have a great new area called Fireman's Corner or something like that. All the rides were mainly for kids to ride solo. She and Alex loved the swings!
There was also a mega fun ball area. Adults seemed to like it as much as the kids, and it was one of the first times I got to sit down.
Ross rode this by himself. It went up and down. He never smiled a single time, but he said he liked it a lot.
Sweet picture that needed to be included.
She hung on for a long time, but in the end slept for about 20 minutes.
While waiting to ride Frisco we locked them up.
The trip isn't official until we ride Frisco, the train.
A rare photo of Big Foot, err Ms. Danielle.
Robbers
Final ride on the carousel. I lost count on how many times she rode throughout the day.
Ended the day with playing in the sand.
Final pics. We had such good weather. It started out cool, warmed up, and as the sun started going down got cool again.
Mexican food on the way back to the house. Avery obviously likes salsa.
A great day!!
