It's Good to be Ross!

On Friday Mam took Ross to see The Lorax as a treat for doing so well for potty training. I was told he loved it!
I had planned a Mommy/ Ross day and it was Alex's birthday so he and Lexie met up with us at the Children's Museum and we had a great afternoon. The first thing we did was go in the area for smaller kids and they immediately went to the trucks!
There was also a great log cabin to play in. Alex had already climbed through the window and Ross decided to try and follow.
He loves to play in kitchens!
There was also a cool lighthouse you could climb in. Of course the ball horders found some to carry up with them.
The pirate ship had a cool slide!
The coolest of all was the air tube that kept the balls floating.
Obviously Alex loved this!
Ross didn't much care about the reptiles and other animals. Mommy wasn't too sad about it either!
The tornado simulation was super cool! The boys liked to jump in the smoke.
Back to the children's area and Ross got in the boat, but he was none to happy that there were no oars.
Fun, albeit, short rock wall.
There was a stage with dress up clothes and a piano. The boys were mostly interested in the piano and the ...
pom poms.
Cool air tube that you could put balls and scarves in then they would shoot out from the top.
There was a special underwater exhibit and it had a magnetic board. The boys thought the plant things were snakes so they were getting us with them!
The body section was very cool. Ross liked the skeleton.
He also really liked this thing that was set up for you to place your hands on the pad and it would make the drum beat to your pulse. I'll post a video and the difference between a kid and an adult is crazy!
Back again to the children's area. This time both boys were interested in the magnets.
Alex mostly took all the magnets out of the bins. He was a sport in helping his Mommy pick them back up.
Aunt Lexie and Alex.
Ross would only do a picture with his tongue out. Looks like his tonsils are good. :)
As we were leaving Alex wanted to get an up close view of the dinosaur.
Ross wanted to pose for a picture.
On Sunday they had a Daddy/Ross afternoon at the golf course. Ross had a good time picking up pine cones. :)
It was a great weekend for making memories. It's a good thing we did so many fun things b/c after this weekend (Cousin Buddy's birthday party) the next  couple of them are going to be spent getting packed up to move to our new house! Ross is beyond exited!

Another This and That

Ross still asks to pose with his sister for pictures. I will have many pictures to show him and remind him one of these days that he does, in fact, really love his sister. :)
Currently one of Ross' favorite past times is cutting with scissors. He'll sit at the table and work to cut the most tiny of tiny pieces. After he's finished he actually gets his little broom and sweets up and "mows". Mow means to vacuum using the Dyson handheld. It is the term he uses and we've now all adopted around our house.
This is what Avery was doing while big brother was cutting. It's a tough life!

Ross sings!

Ross sang with the little kids at Mom's church on Mother's Day too! He also had me a surprise and sang Jesus Loves Me all by himself! He sang really softly until the very end and then you could hear him over the microphone. I was so proud of him and he did fantastic!

(If you click to watch on YouTube the video is bigger - I couldn't get it to load on blog any other way.)

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Ross had me a great present that he made at school!
He also made bird feeders for presents too! (Hopefully the birds like Fruit Loops and not just Cheerios.)

We managed to get a few Mother's Day pictures before lunch.
Silly girl!
Pop gave her a bottle while we were getting clothes changes and all that fun stuff.
Ross and his "cousin buddy" Alex.
Cousin Buddy and his Mommy, Lexie.
Mam and her two boys.
Ross found the water hose! He quickly turned into a fireman and we all of a sudden were on fire and had to get sprayed!
I hope everyone has as great of a day as we did! The weather was perfect and the day couldn't have been better!

This and That

Someone loves their Bumbo seat! If Avery is awake she wants to be sitting up. She also appreciates if someone will talk to her the whole time as well. :) You can see that she has a wee bit of a drool problem.
Ross is such a great helper! Especially when Avery needs someone to talk to her. (refer to comment above) As most know Ross is quite the talker so this fits him perfectly!

A Fun Day

Sunday afternoon we went for a walk across the newer river bridge. We'd never been on that side before and really enjoyed it.
Posing for some pics!
I think they favor! Got to love both the tongues sticking out.
After our walk we went to a different park by where we used to live. We took Ross there to swing when he was a baby and haven't been back in over 2.5 yrs since we last moved and he loved it. I liked it b/c of the shade.
He had to run the bases several times.
The last thing he did before going home was slide down the rocket slide many times. After each turn he's say "one more time".
