Mommy's Birthday

Well yesterday was my birthday. Ross said I was turning 1 so we'll just stick with that number. However, we had to have 3 candles in our birthday muffins. Of course Ross got to blow them out. He's so good at it! They had a birthday party/ shower for me at work so I brought home 2 cupcakes and Ross wanted the chocolate one. This time he wanted 2 candles.A happy little boy blowing out Mommy's candles. We had to sing 4 times. :) Papa came over too and brought us a little cake. Ross wanted it for breakfast this morning but I told him we'd have it after dinner tonight.
Yummy!
I asked him to grin so I could get a picture of all the chocolate on his face. This is what he gave me. Love him SOOOO much!

Guitar Man

Ross decided to put on a concert for us this week. After a while he decided to lay back and I immediately thought that I wish I had my camera. Two seconds after I thought it Ross said "hey Mom, you need to get your camera".

Birthday Photos

A little late and I really don't have an excuse. :)
Newborn photo!1st birthday! 2nd birthday! 3rd birthday! (Wish I had a better picture) Like I've written a million times previously time sure does fly! In just over a week we'll start the baby process all over again with Avery Elizabeth. I'll have to remember to tell myself during all the sleepless nights that it'll be over in the blink of an eye.

Happy 3rd Birthday to Ross!

I'd first like to say that I absolutely can not believe that we just celebrated Ross' 3rd birthday! We were warned it would fly by but my goodness I had no idea. (I wouldn't cry if the potty training period flew by but the rest could slow down just a bit.)

We started out the festivities for Ross' bday by having a party at his school on Friday. Ice cream and Mater apple juice. On Saturday was Ross' big party. We had it at Party Central in Benton "the bouncy house place".Even the parents played - most whether they wanted to or not. :o)Mr. Ryder and his brothers quite enjoyed the boxing set up.I think most kids enjoyed the slide the most. Addie would probably agree!Sam was never quite sure of the whole set up. I did win him over later with some Pub Mix to snack on.
A slide trio. Reece, Riley, and Ally.Ross and Madison grew to be best buds at school. She's in kindergarten now so he was quite happy to see her at the party! Another fan of the slide was her brother Peyton. Some of the adults gathered up for a game of HORSE.
Once we finished playing it was time for cake and snacks. Ross requested a Cookie Monster cake. I thought it turned out really cute and it was really tasty!
Cookie Monster treat bags complete with 2 kinds of cookies and chocolate milk. I think Cookie Monster would have been pleased. Singing Happy Birthday - I'd wager we've sang that about 100 times over the full weekend. Now on to presents. Gage was such a helper. He and Ross were born on the same day! He got a lot of John Deere toys. A BIG remote control car - it goes fast! That card has dogs barking to the tune of Happy Birthday. We sing along with it often. Even end it by blowing out imaginary candles. Madison and Peyton got him another big remote control car, a Razorback hat, and a COOKIE MONSTER (CM)! He said CM was his best buddy ever!
Is a blog really complete without some photos by Ross?Almost... Perfect! Yes our Grandad came to the party too!
Once we got home he was so excited to get all his presents out. Saturday and Sunday it looked like a toy box exploded in the living room.In the end Cookie Monster won out. On Sunday he wanted muffins for breakfast so I put candles in them for Happy Birthday singing. He blew them out twice. Does that mean extra special luck??

Visit to the fire station!!!!

Everyone can put on their jealous hats b/c on Friday Ross got to go see A LOT of fire trucks!!! He not only saw them but he got to drive, ride, see the big ladder, and even spray the water! Mucho thanks to our Uncle Bryan, he's a Captain, for doing all that for us!!

You can try but you just will never be this cool! :) Checking everything out. (He not only represented the firemen but also the farmers with his John Deere shirt on.)There were many fire trucks there and Ross wanted to drive each and every one of them.Uncle Kevin, Papa, and Granny were there too. Ross is a huge fan of Uncle Kev so he got the pleasure of holding Ross a lot. There were some firemen there that were really nice and Ross wanted to get his picture taken with them. They happily obliged. So excited b/c we are actually riding in the fire truck! Not just around the parking lot either! We got to go on a long ride! Of course he didn't want to get out and the whole way home he told me he wanted to go back right then and ride again. We enticed Ross to get out b/c Uncle Bryan was going to raise the ladder on the truck we rode in. That was very cool and I'll just say I think it would take a whole lot of money to get me up on that ladder! To top it off once we finished with the ladder Ross got to spray the water hose! Look at that concentration. He was quite good at turning it on and off. It would push him back a bit when he turned it on with all the pressure. It was a great day to be Ross!
