Breakfast with Santa (and friends)

We went to ACH's annual Breakfast with Santa event on Saturday. It was a great time! He even arrived by firetruck! We got there super early so we could see him arrive. Ross got some quick face time and a candy cane.Family picture just b/c I'm being nice. I hate pregnancy photos.
Ross had some friends there too! Anna Beth and McKenna. We tried to get a group picture but they were so excited after seeing Santa and the firetruck that it wasn't the easiest thing to do.We even tried to sing a song to keep them still for a second. When we went back inside the first thing Ross did was write a letter to Santa. He stuck to his guns and said he wanted a guitar with a pick. He's requested this for months from Santa. He was quite excited about getting to mail it. Up next we called the North Pole and spoke to an Elf named Sam.Just to reiterate, he requested a guitar with a pick. :) After Santa got set up we lined up to see him. They were jumping up and down like crazy! This was the clearest picture I got while we were in line.Ross actually sat in Santa's lap! I guess he broke the ice when he gave him the candy cane earlier. Word is he wants a guitar with a pick. :o) After seeing Santa we did some more activities. He got a tattoo and he was so excited over it! He showed everyone that would look and was worried about it coming off all day! We made reindeer food to sprinkle in the yard so they'll come to our house! He also made a Rudolph sack. Finished product. If all those things weren't enough, to top it off they even had chocolate milk to go along with breakfast! A final picture before we left. All 3 kids hit the point of being ready to go at the same time. As we were leaving we saw Claire too! She was being shy.

Thanksgiving day

One of Ross' favorite things to do is throw acorns off Mam's bridge so on Thanksgiving day he and Alex both got to throw them. Their good dads are gathering up a bunch to throw. Leading the way! Some of the acorns had sprouted. When they started the bowl was almost full.Alex had a cup full of acorns and after throwing a few he would just throw his entire cup in the water. Then say "uh oh". A little behind the back action! Ross had to take a few pictures. We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We sure did!

So Many Leaves!

Our trees have almost finished dropping their leaves! The front yard is now raked and leaves bagged, thanks to Ross' help! His worm had to get in on the action too. Raking leaves is no fun if you don't make a big pile and jump in them over and over! We had a HUGE pile to jump in! Comparison shots! My favorite as we all know. I happened to have one from each year since Ross was born. For me it is amazing to see the difference between last year and this year. I thought he was a big boy last year but nope - he's definitely one this year though!

Our Thanksgiving project was making turkey cookies. Ross really had a good time doing it! We also made them on a playdate but I didn't take pictures. Someone ate the green M&M eyes!He made one for Daddy too! Happy Turkey Day!

First Razorback Basketball Game

Friday most of the family went to see the Razorback game at Verizon. It was Ross' first game and we had a great time! It was actually packed out! Much different than the last few games we went to.Ross got to have his picture taken with "the pig". He was so happy about that too! He actually stayed awake for the entire game. I was quite surprised given that it started at the time he's usually getting ready for bed. A nail biter ending! We didn't win but it was a good game and lots of fun!

Holidays in the Heights

We took Ross to Holidays in the Heights yesterday and he had a great time. I took him last year but Daddy was able to go this year too since he's finished with school! We had a lot of fun and Ross got to see Santa! I will check out the pictures tomorrow on the photographer's website. Not thinking we'll have a lot there since he had his hands out the whole time wanting to "hold you".

However, we did see Mrs. Claus and did just fine. She made Ross a balloon puppy. Puppy had eyes, whiskers, and a nose!

Two Firsts

We took Ross to MacArthur Park to feed the geese for the first time and he loved it! I realized very quickly I should have bought two loaves of bread. We also realized very quickly not to give him whole pieces b/c he would toss the whole piece. It doesn't take long for the geese to realize what you're doing and they head straight for you! Luckily they are all pretty nice to the feeders; to each other - not so much! After the ducks we went and rode the trolley. He had a great time doing that as well!Cheesing with Daddy!

Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween! This was our favorite Halloween craft from school. I just love it! Ross was definitely proud of his Fireman Sam costume! He did well in picking it out.So silly! He wouldn't put his cup down. He had a hard Sunday night of trunk or treating and was super thirsty. Being a fireman is tough work!
